A Season of Growth and Celebration

Hi friends!

I have some exciting updates to share from Bungoma – and from me!

First, the maize is looking amazing! After all the hard work Patrick and the farmers put in during the rainy season, it’s thriving and nearly ready to harvest. If all goes as planned, the fields will be full of busy hands gathering the crops in just about a week. Seeing this kind of progress is a reminder of why we do what we do. It’s not just about growing maize—it’s about growing opportunities, stability, and hope for the future.

Speaking of exciting things, the holidays are almost here, and I can’t wait to celebrate! My family has some pretty cool traditions. We celebrate Hanukkah, Swiss Heiliger Abend (Christmas Eve), Christmas Day, and the Russian New Year. And to top it all off, my birthday is coming up on December 21—I’ll be turning 12! 🎉 It’s going to be a season packed with family time and lots of love. I hope your holidays are just as fun, full of traditions, and meaningful moments as I know ours will be.

The season of giving and gratitude is one of my favorites because it reminds me of everything we’ve been able to accomplish together this year. Your support has planted literal seeds in Bungoma and figurative ones in so many lives. That’s a gift that lasts long beyond the holidays, and I couldn’t be more thankful for this amazing community.

Wishing you joy, warmth, and some memorable celebrations of your own!

With love, hope, and gratitude,

Charlie
