Help Me Catch Up – Patrick’s Future Depends on It!

Hi everyone,

It’s me, Charlie! I hope you all are doing well and enjoying the holiday season. I wanted to take a moment to share a quick update, but also ask for your help because I’m facing a bit of a challenge right now.

For the past week, I’ve been stuck at home with laryngitis. It’s been super frustrating because I had this big plan to sell cookies and brownies to help raise the $800 needed to pay for Patrick Wesonga’s second semester at Kibabii University in Kenya. I even designed stickers with my Charlie Cares logo for the plastic envelopes that would hold the cookies and brownies. I was so excited to start selling them!

But being sick has totally thrown me off schedule. I haven’t been able to get out and sell anything yet, and time is running out. The deadline to raise the money is January 3, which is just days away! Once I’m feeling better, I’ll absolutely get back to selling those cookies and brownies—but that won’t solve this immediate problem.

Here’s the thing: Patrick is doing amazing at Kibabii University. He’s scored at the top of his class in several of his tests, which just proves how hardworking and talented he is. Your support has made this possible, and I can’t thank you enough for helping him get this far. Now, we just need to make sure he can keep going.

That’s why I’m asking for your help today. Even the smallest donation brings us closer to keeping Patrick in school and changing his future for the better. This is my GoFundMe link. (Please know that you don’t have to tip GoFundMe – they add in a tip automatically, but you can reject it. The reason I’m saying this is that they already charge me every time they transfer money to my account, and I want your money to go to Fields to Future.)

This is such a worthy cause, and I truly believe in it with all my heart. Patrick’s education is not just changing his life—it’s inspiring his whole community in Bungoma, Kenya.

Thank you so much for being there for me and for Patrick. Your generosity means the world to me, and I’m so grateful for everything you’ve done. Let’s finish this year strong and make sure Patrick gets the education he deserves!

With gratitude,
Charlie
