I’m beyond excited to share some amazing news with you—our maize harvest has officially begun!
Here’s an update straight from our partner on the ground, Patrick Wesonga:
"Day 1 harvesting was done. The needy people who offered a helping hand in harvesting our first and second fields under the hot sun went home happy as I gave them harvested corn to feed their families. They appreciated it greatly and said thank you for your help. The remaining maize we carried on our backs as a means of transportation up to home, where we shall prepare it and dry it for food. Day 2 and the last day, is tomorrow in another field. Harvesting will be done. I talked to another group of people to help harvest another field tomorrow. I will pay them with corn to take to their homes for food."
Reading this update fills my heart with so much gratitude and joy. Seeing the smiles on the faces of those who helped with the harvest, knowing they’ll have food to take home, reminds me exactly why we’re doing this. It’s about more than just planting seeds—it’s about planting hope and creating a brighter future for everyone involved.
Thank you so much to all our donors—you’re the reason this is possible! Your support has helped bring this harvest to life and provided food for families who need it most.
Also, I have a quick reminder: there are only two days left to donate to my other charity, Fields to Future! We’re working hard to help send Patrick to school so he can get his degree and become a teacher. The semester begins next week, and your support can make a huge difference. Every bit helps, so if you can, please consider donating.
You can donate through this link: Fields to Future GoFundMe. Please, please, please share it with your friends and family—it means the world to me!
I’m so grateful for all your help and can’t wait to keep you updated on all our developments. Have a fantastic summer day, and thank you for being part of this journey with me!
