Patrick Starts His Junior Year

When we first started Fields 2 Future, the dream was pretty simple - help Patrick Wesonga get the education he needed to become a teacher. Now, that dream is becoming real right in front of us.
This summer, Patrick completed his 13-week teaching practicum at Mungakha Junior School in Bungoma. He taught Grade 8 students Kiswahili and Social Studies, putting everything he has learned at Kibabii University into practice.
He arrived as a university student preparing to become a teacher. By the end of those 13 weeks, he had proven that he belongs in the classroom.
Patrick's assessment report praised his dedication, his ability to connect with students, and his natural ability to make lessons come alive. Reading that made me incredibly proud because this is exactly what Fields 2 Future was created to make possible.
His grades are just as exciting.
Patrick completed his sophomore year at Kibabii University with seven A's and one B, earning an overall rating of excellent. Those grades show how seriously Patrick takes the opportunity he has been given and how hard he is working to turn that opportunity into something that will help others.
On Aug. 1, Patrick began his junior year and fifth semester at Kibabii.
His dream has never changed. He wants to return home and teach children like he once was - students who may not have the resources they need to reach it.
That is why your support matters so much.
We have raised about one-third of the tuition needed so far, which helped make this semester possible. We still need to raise around $750 toward the remaining balance, along with the cost of books, school supplies, internet access, and transportation.
Patrick attends classes both online and in person, so even expenses that might seem small can quickly add up.
