Record Yields!

When I think about how far we’ve come this season, I honestly just feel grateful - and really excited about what’s ahead.

Because of your support, I was able to raise enough donations to plant a third field. That’s a huge step forward for us. Every field represents more food, more opportunity, and more families impacted. It’s amazing to see how something that starts with a simple act of generosity can grow into something so meaningful.

Even more encouraging, top dressings have already been applied to the first two fields. This gives the maize an important boost, helping it grow stronger and healthier at a critical stage.

And then there’s the weather. We’ve been getting steady, heavy rains - exactly what the crops need right now.

When you put all of this together - the additional field, the nutrients from the top dressings, and the consistent rainfall - the farmers in Bungoma are telling us something incredible. They believe this could be the largest yield we’ve seen across all six of our plantings so far.

That’s honestly hard to put into words.

I’m super excited about what this means. Not just in terms of production, but in terms of real impact - more meals, more stability, and more hope for the community.
