We Hit Our Goal!

I am so excited to share this with you. We raised $1,305 for Fields to Future! That means Patrick Wesonga’s tuition and fees for the first semester of his sophomore year at Kibabii University are fully covered. Patrick is studying to become a teacher so he can return to Bungoma and guide the next generation. Just knowing we get to help him do what he loves makes my heart so happy. It is what keeps me going every day.
I thought the best way to share this news with you would be through Patrick’s own words. Here’s what he wrote:
“Dear Donors, I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your kindness and generosity in covering my tuition fees in full for Semester 3 (Second Year, First Semester). Your support has lifted a tremendous burden from my shoulders and allowed me to focus on my studies.
A special thank you to Charlie Cares and Charlie Martin for organizing the Seeds of Hope and Fields to Future campaign. Your efforts in bringing people together to support students like me are truly inspiring and impactful. Because of your support, I am one step closer to achieving my goals, and I carry with me a renewed sense of hope and motivation. Thank you for believing in my potential and for investing in my future.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Patrick Wesonga.”
How amazing is that? Patrick is taking some really interesting classes this semester, like Philosophy of Education, History of Kenya to 1894, History of the United States Since 1975, and Educational Psychology. He is working so hard, and I cannot wait to keep you updated on his progress.
I honestly cannot believe how much love and support I have received for this campaign. Every donation, every encouraging message, and every share has meant the world to me. You have shown me that age does not limit the impact we can make together.
But the work is not done yet. I am still raising money for Seeds of Hope. Our fifth planting is coming up soon. There are three planting seasons per year in Bungoma, so that is a lot of seeds. I will keep you posted on how the planting goes and, of course, how Patrick is doing in school.
With gratitude,
Charlie
